About VerifiMe
VerifiMe is a Greengate Fintech Holdings Pty Ltd ACN 664 286 515 (Greengate) software as a service platform that provides identity verification solutions. Our platform enables customers to share their personal or organisational identity in real-time and allows businesses to verify user identity attributes against their rules, also in real-time. VerifiMe tokenises identity to enable digital trust between businesses and individuals at every transaction requiring identity verification or personal data sharing.
As an Australian company, Greengate is bound by Australian legislation and regulators. The protection of personal data is VerifiMe's priority, and privacy and control of your identity is a fundamental right that must be preserved.

This privacy policy describes our commitments regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data when you use our website, application, and services, and informs you about your privacy rights. This policy doesn't apply to sites and services offered by third parties for which VerifiMe may act as a subcontractor. In such situations, we recommend you read their privacy policies.

VerifiMe only uses and discloses personal information for the purpose for which it was disclosed to us or related purposes that would reasonably be expected. We do not sell personal information to other organisations.
Your identification data is encrypted in a way that it cannot be exploited and is stored offline in a highly secure environment. We implement all appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure security appropriate to the risk.

When you authenticate with a service provider, data available on your identity document may be transmitted to that service provider
Some businesses may require additional information from your identity document for verification purposes
Data may be shared offline from the VerifiMe portal upon request
We may disclose information to governmental agencies, regulatory authorities, or other persons in line with applicable rules, orders, subpoenas, or official requests as required or permitted by law
Access Restrictions
Only persons authorised to access personal data and trained in data protection have access to processing
No personal data is transmitted to commercial actors without your consent
All servers storing your data and those of service providers are located in Australia
International Transfers
If data transfer to a third country occurs, VerifiMe ensures necessary data protection measures comply with Australian Privacy standards and the Individual Liberties Act provisions.
Data Storage and Security
VerifiMe commits to implementing all appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure security appropriate to the risk. We:
Do not make copies of documents containing personal data except in strict context of customer contract execution

Store personal data on secure servers subject to strict protection

Maintain evidence files offline in highly secure environments accessible only for legal disputes or audit requests

VerifiMe does not collect information about you from third parties. You will need to contact relevant third parties to ascertain their privacy standards.
Internet Security

Data Retention
VerifiMe retains personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set in this Privacy Policy. We retain and use personal data to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce legal agreements and policies.
Accounts are suspended after seven years of inactivity and data is completely deleted
Data transmitted to service providers may be retained if requested for audit purposes
Evidence files containing verification data are kept offline for legal/audit purposes and can only be accessed in case of legal dispute or audit request
Personal data requested for deletion will be removed within 3 business days (Sydney, NSW) unless legal obligations prevent deletion
